History of Bocce's Pizza

Old Buffalo Bocce Club

To the right is a sketch of the "Original Bocce Club" that was located on the corner of Hickory and Eagle Streets in Buffalo, New York. This is where the first Bocce's Pizza was made. The sketch has been displayed on our menus for years and remains an important symbol of what the Bocce's name represents for generations of loyal customers.

"A friendly pizzeria that serves great food to enjoy with family and friends."

How it all began

In 1940, Michael and Malvina Sacco started making the first Bocce's Pizza at the Bocce Club. The pizzas were made entirely by hand as a side order for patrons of the club. At the time, their take-out consisted of putting the pizza in paper bags instead of the popular pizza boxes we know of today.

After moving and expanding the concept, it remained a tradition to prepare and serve the food with Tender Loving Care. And Bocce's continues that tradition today. Try one of our fresh and delicious large pizzas, which are still 18 inches, and we're sure you'll agree.

Family Owned and Operated since 1940.
