eBay is an app that brings the entire eBay platform to mobile. You can search for items, check out exclusive deals, and look up sellers. If you have an account, you can make bids and use other features.

Easy to Navigate

After a false start (the app got thousands of negative reviews), eBay launched a reworked mobile version. While the interface isn't very attractive, it's easy to navigate, especially if you're already familiar with eBay. Users can sort the seller's feedback by Negative, Neutral, and Positive. 

You can't search by keywords but you can browse item's titles. Large buttons let you jump between your profile and items on sale and browse through eBay Motors.

eBay offers dozens of categories, and each category has a subcategory and even a sub-sub-category. This can be confusing, but once you get accustomed to a multilayered organization, it's easy to shift through all items. You can also search by bar code and keyword.

Account-Specific Functionality

If you log in to the app, you will get access to account-specific functions, such as Favorite Sellers, Saved Searches, and Reminders. Moreover, you will see your messages and listed items. Unfortunately, the developers haven't figured out a way to automatically include the Viewport Meta Tag. You should manually insert it every time your listing is optimized for mobile devices.

eBay came up with the eBay Motors marketplace that can be accessed through a button on the main page. This is where you can shop for vehicles (only in the US). This is a great addition to the app, but it's still in development. For example, you can't browse by category.

Speed Up the Listing Process

If you're listing hundreds of items every week, things can get tedious. eBay is taking action to simplify the process and help you complete a listing in seconds. The app can automatically fill in the product information. 

If you have the box for the item being sold, you can scan the barcode and the app will do the rest. You don't even need to add photos because eBay is happy to find images for you. As an alternative, you can use a product name search. After that, you just need to approve the auto-generated description.
