Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is an action-adventure game, developed by Rockstar. It was initially released in 2004 and later ported to most new platforms, including mobile devices.
Gameplay + Story: So You Wanna Be a Gangster
San Andreas is the part of the GTA series, released between GTA: Vice City and GTA IV. The gameplay sticks to the series' traditions: you are able to steal cars, fight or shoot people, perform other criminal activities, and play mini-games.
You are free to travel in the open-world, earn money, and just have fun. Or you can go and complete story missions, which develop the storyline of Carl Johnson.
The game is set in the early 90s and the plot is tightly connected with gang wars and criminal life. Though the game is set in an imaginary world, the parallels are obvious.
Graphics: Nostalgic
Nowadays, the graphics of San Andreas are obviously outdated, as the game was released more than 15 years ago. However, if you ever played this game on PC in the 00s, the mobile port will bring a strong nostalgic vibe. The models, which lack details and edgy environment will remind you of what games used to look like back in the day.
Nevertheless, those, who have never played San Andreas and are familiar with later Rockstar releases, will be most probably disappointed in graphics, as visually the game is not even close to GTA V. For mobile devices, there are similar games with better graphics, though they lack the spirit of GTA series.
Controls: Typical Console Port
As the game was initially developed for consoles, the controls are simple: you can move your character, rotate the camera, shoot and control your vehicle.
Just like the buttons on gamepads were responsible for many actions, depending on the situation, the button set on the screen is adapting to what’s going on. When you ride a car, the corresponding buttons appear for you to steer and regulate speed. When you are walking, there are buttons for running, fighting, and entering a vehicle.
