WWE 2K24 Steps Into the Ring with Cody Rhodes and WrestleMania Celebrations

2K Sports has lifted the curtain to unveil the highly anticipated WWE 2K24, setting a release date for March 8. The newest installment of the revered WWE 2K video game series will make its way to gamers across multiple platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Gracing the Standard Edition cover is none other than Cody Rhodes, a fitting choice for the franchise. For those opting for the Deluxe Edition, they are greeted with the powerful duo of Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley. Adding to the collectible nature, the special 40 Years of WrestleMania edition showcases eye-catching artwork that pays homage to WWE legends The Rock, The Undertaker, Hulk Hogan, and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

In this edition, the spotlight shines on the WrestleMania Showcase mode, inviting players to step into iconic bouts from the event's storied 40-year run. As players engage in these historical matchups, they'll unearth new content to enhance their gaming experience.

Pushing the envelope further, WWE 2K24 introduces four novel match types to up the ante – Special Guest Referee, Ambulance Match, Casket Match, and Gauntlet Match. The backstage landscape has been reimagined with new interactive elements, including a functional elevator and destructible Control Room glass.

Gameplay advancements aren't shy in coming forward with the inclusion of 'Super Finishers', aerial assaults on multiple foes outside the ring, the ability to have double title matches, and the newly implemented ability to toss weapons at opponents. Accompanying these features is the authentic touch of seven actual WWE referees managing the in-ring action.

The price point for the Standard Edition is set at $59.99 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC gamers, whereas those with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles will find the game tagged at $69.99.

Those willing to delve into the richer Deluxe Edition, retailing at $99.99, will gain the Season Pass granting access to five DLC packs released post-launch, along with the MyRise Mega Boost and SuperCharger, plus coveted gold MyFaction cards and variant outfits for both Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair.

The most ardent of fans might set their sights on the 40 Years of WrestleMania Edition, priced at $119.99. This treasure trove includes all content from the Deluxe Edition, alongside an additional pack featuring exclusive attires and gold MyFaction cards for wrestling icons “Macho King” Randy Savage, Rey Mysterio, Triple H, Charlotte Flair, and Rhea Ripley, aligning with their WrestleMania appearances.

A special bonus awaits those who pre-order any edition, as they will receive the Nightmare Family Pack. This exclusive addition provides two alternative versions of Cody Rhodes (Undashing and Stardust), alongside the classic 1976 Dusty Rhodes and Superstar Billy Graham.

To top it off, all digital pre-orders are rewarded with the Standard Edition of WWE 2K23, offering fans the ability to play the current edition as anticipation for WWE 2K24 builds.
